Veggie Fest Freakout
/When we showed up in country a year ago, we had no idea that Thailand was home to some of the craziest public spectacles the world over. Our first real initiation to this fact would come last October, during the poorly named Vegetarian Festival Parade in Phuket.
I tried my best to capture the scene in words. Sheila's photos do a better job. Still, even if we'd recorded audio or video (we didn't but there's always this year!), it would have been a rotten analog to the event itself. Much like The Grand Canyon, it's something you must experience on your own.
